At aotokuru, a satsuma orange farmer’s B&B located halfway up a mountain with satsuma orange fields, you can stay as if you were living in a Japanese house built by a satsuma orange farmer over 110 years ago. We have renovated a part of the old private house, which has been in harmony with mountain life and farm life, to make it easier to stay while keeping the charm and good old things. It is limited to one group per day, so you can spend a relaxing time.
The 2-story old private house has a living room and guest room where you can relax on the 1st floor, a bathroom, and we live on the 2nd floor. We want you to feel relaxed and comfortable as if you were living here, so we are friendly and open-minded. Please feel free to spend time here as if you were visiting a friend or relative.

How to spend time at the aotokuru
At aotokuru, you can freely use the second-hand bookstore “Bun” attached to aotokuru, and you can also use various outdoor gear.
aotokuru is a B&B (Bed and Breakfast / Breakfast only). For dinner, you can prepare your own ingredients and have a BBQ and bonfire outdoors.
In addition to charcoal and firewood, basic seasonings, tableware, and cutlery are available. Ingredients can be procured from local farmers and supermarkets on the way to aotokuru, and please stay like you live in Tokushima.

Of course, late check-in after having a meal at a delicious restaurant in Tokushima is also possible!
BBQ activities are also available as an option with an additional charge.

As an additional fee option other than the BBQ activity, we offer a “fish set meal of the day” that purchases recommended fish caught on the same day from a fish shop in the town and grills it over a charcoal fire. The set meal consists of Tokushima white rice, Naruto seaweed miso soup, seasonal small bowl, salad, takuan, and charcoal-grilled fish. If the weather is nice, we will have a meal around the bonfire.
For breakfast, we make hot sandwiches with homemade satsuma orange-scented bread. Of course, the satsuma oranges used in the bread are produced by aotokuru. The peel of satsuma oranges is powdered and kneaded into the bread.
Guests staying consecutive nights will be served a local Tokushima dish for breakfast on the second day. If we have citrus fruits grown in aotokuru, we serve them for breakfast. There are oranges and sweet summers from April to May.
Furnishings, services, amenities
Although the atmosphere of the old private house is kept as it is, we have prepared bathrooms, washroom facilities, air conditioning equipment, linens such as towels, tea and coffee that you can relax, free Wi-Fi, etc. so that you can spend a comfortable time. . The bathroom is equipped with shampoo, conditioner, and body soap from Matsuyama Yushi, which has a factory in Tokushima. Please feel free to use it.
※Please check the following precautions before bringing.
・We do not provide nightwear such as yukata, and amenities such as toothbrushes, so please bring your own. Also, all rooms are non-smoking. If you smoke, please be sure to bring a portable ashtray and smoke outdoors.
・There is no change of linens such as sheets and pillowcases for consecutive nights. Please let us know if you would like to change towels.
aotokuru is an old private house surrounded by the nature of the mountains, so confidentiality is not so high. Especially during the rainy season, insects that are physiologically intolerable may appear depending on the person. We always have a spray for insects that appear in our rooms, and we also keep an eye out for them. It is not a recent building made of concrete, but an old private house built more than 110 years ago, so there are times when you can’t resist. I hope you can understand.
